Catch Return

To enable the Association to determine the effectiveness of habitat improvements, to inform future stocking policy, and to establish the value of lost amenity to members in the event of pollution, foot & mouth disease etc. it is necessary for all members to submit a catch return at the end of each season.

The catch return form must be forwarded to the Secretary no later than 31st October in any year.

Exchange Scheme

By virtue of membership of the Cumberland Angling Alliance, the association is able to provide exchange permits for Appleby, Keswick and Kirkby Stephen and Aspatria angling associations. Exchange agreements are also in place between the B.A.A. and Carlisle, Derwent (County Durham), and Spadeadam associations. Two permits are available for each partner association on any one day. Access to the exchange scheme is through our treasurer David Farish Tel 016977 3411, and must be booked in advance.

Permits must be returned within the agreed timescale, failure to do so may result in members being denied further exchange permits for the current season. E.A. licences, B.A.A. permits and host association permits, maps and rules must be carried at all times, when on the water.
